Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Des Moines, IA)

Lumen Lantern Early Learning runs childcare centres in Des Moines caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. You would join a large organisation of about 501 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on licensing records. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
