Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Denver, CO)

Fernwood Bridge Environmental Services collects and processes waste and recycling around Denver, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our quality and error analysis. You would join a large organisation of about 297 people based in Denver. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in landfill records and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on recycling loads. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Denver. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
