Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Dallas, TX)

Fernwood Quarry Energy supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around Dallas. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. You would join a small organisation of about 37 people based in Dallas. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in outage response and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on billing disputes. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Dallas. • We reply to every applicant.
