Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Columbus, OH)

Harborlight Orchard Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Columbus, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our quality and error analysis. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in route schedules and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on fare systems. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Columbus, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
