Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Chicago, IL)

Westbrook Orchard Energy supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around Chicago. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. We work closely with regulators and communities. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in billing disputes and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on hardship programmes. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
