Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Chicago, IL)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Quarry Energy and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be quality and error analysis. You would join a large organisation of about 418 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Investigate trends in hardship programmes and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on billing disputes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
