Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Chicago, IL)

Fernwood Vista Construction is a Chicago contractor with project managers, trades and support staff. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on quality and error analysis. Good people move up quickly. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in project schedules and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on change orders. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
