Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Charlotte, NC)

Amberfield Cedar Transit Planning is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on quality and error analysis for ridership counts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 31 people based in Charlotte. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in ridership counts and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on service alerts. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Charlotte. • We reply to every applicant.
