Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Boston, MA)

Fernwood Junction Water Authority is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on quality and error analysis for meter reading, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in meter reading and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on water quality. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Boston. • We reply to every applicant.
