Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Birmingham, AL)

Fernwood Orchard Facilities is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on quality and error analysis for contractor visits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 119 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in contractor visits and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on safety inspections. • Python or R for analysis.
