Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (Anchorage, AK)

Bright Fox Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Anchorage, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our quality and error analysis. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on policy renewals. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Anchorage, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
