Data Analyst - operations reporting (Wichita, KS)

Bright Ember Markets is a Wichita retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. We like people who know our customers by name. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in online orders and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on supplier deliveries. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Wichita. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
