Data Analyst - operations reporting (Virginia Beach, VA)

Ironwood Lakeside Transit Planning is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on operations reporting for service alerts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 926 people based in Virginia Beach. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in service alerts and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on fare systems. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
