Data Analyst - operations reporting (Virginia Beach, VA)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Yarrow Civic Services and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be operations reporting. Public service means patience, paperwork and pride in the outcome. What you will do • Investigate trends in permits and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on case files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
