Data Analyst - operations reporting (Virginia Beach, VA)

Amberfield Corner Markets operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around Virginia Beach. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in store inventory and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on promotions. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
