Data Analyst - operations reporting (Virginia Beach, VA)

Greenridge River Markets is a Virginia Beach retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. We are friendly and busy, especially on weekends. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in online orders and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on pricing. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Virginia Beach, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
