Data Analyst - operations reporting (San Diego, CA)

Nova Drift Inspection Services is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on operations reporting for field inspections, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Independence and accuracy are our product. What you will do • Investigate trends in field inspections and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on equipment calibration. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
