Data Analyst - operations reporting (Sacramento, CA)

Cedar Meridian Hospitality Group is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on operations reporting for food costs, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in food costs and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on guest bookings. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
