Data Analyst - operations reporting (Sacramento, CA)

Foxglove Pike Markets is a Sacramento retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our operations reporting. We are friendly and busy, especially on weekends. What you will do • Investigate trends in shrink and waste and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on promotions. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Sacramento, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
