Data Analyst - operations reporting (Richmond, VA)

Stonegate Forge Transit Planning Group helps transport agencies around Richmond design routes and schedules, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our operations reporting. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in survey data and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on ridership counts. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Richmond. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
