Data Analyst - operations reporting (Richmond, VA)

Harborlight Pine Manufacturing Group makes precision components in Richmond. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in machine downtime and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on customer orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Richmond. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
