Data Analyst - operations reporting (Reno, NV)

Bluepeak Ember Auto Group operates automotive service and parts businesses around Reno, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our operations reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 22 people based in Reno. What you will do • Investigate trends in warranty claims and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on parts orders. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Reno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
