Data Analyst - operations reporting (Reno, NV)

Fernwood Cedar Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Reno area, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our operations reporting. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in service installations and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on outage reports. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Reno. • We reply to every applicant.
