Data Analyst - operations reporting (remote)

Lumen Lakeside Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Detroit. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 23 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in fare systems and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on service alerts. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
