Data Analyst - operations reporting (remote)

Ironwood Cobalt Auto Group is a Birmingham company supplying vehicle parts and service. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. Service hours are steady. What you will do • Investigate trends in customer estimates and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on parts orders. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
