Data Analyst - operations reporting (remote)

We are growing our team at Stonegate Oak Freight and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be operations reporting. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in loads and lanes and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on dock schedules. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Las Vegas. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
