Data Analyst - operations reporting (remote)

Clearpath Ashton Civic Services provides shared administrative services to local governments around Providence, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our operations reporting. You would join a large organisation of about 389 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in permits and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on budget submissions. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
