Data Analyst - operations reporting (remote)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Ridge Insurance and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be operations reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 163 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in customer complaints and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on underwriting files. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in San Diego. • We reply to every applicant.
