Data Analyst - operations reporting (remote)

We are growing our team at Nova Lantern Learning Group and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be operations reporting. We follow the school calendar and we like people who like learning. What you will do • Investigate trends in family communication and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on enrolment. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
