Data Analyst - operations reporting (remote)

Silverline Kestrel Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Des Moines. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in premium billing and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on policy renewals. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
