Data Analyst - operations reporting (remote)

Fernwood Ashton Freight Group is a Sacramento logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in proof of delivery and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Sacramento. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
