Data Analyst - operations reporting (remote)

Redstone Maple Markets is a Hartford retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our operations reporting. We like people who know our customers by name. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in shrink and waste and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on pricing. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Hartford. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
