Data Analyst - operations reporting (remote)

Cedar Lantern Construction delivers building projects for owners across the Dallas region. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. Good people move up quickly. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in subcontractor invoices and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on materials orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Dallas. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
