Data Analyst - operations reporting (remote)

Harborlight Cobalt Markets operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around Virginia Beach. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. We like people who know our customers by name. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in shrink and waste and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on promotions. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
