Data Analyst - operations reporting (remote)

Bright Orchard Freight is a New Orleans logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Investigate trends in claims and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on loads and lanes. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
