Data Analyst - operations reporting (remote)

Bright North Insurance Group provides coverage to households and businesses around San Diego. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. You would join a large organisation of about 897 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in customer complaints and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on policy renewals. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
