Data Analyst - operations reporting (remote)

Fernwood Cedar Inspection Services is an inspection company in Atlanta with field technicians and lab staff. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 40 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Investigate trends in equipment calibration and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on client sites. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Atlanta. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
