Data Analyst - operations reporting (remote)

Ironwood Pine Early Learning runs childcare centres in Birmingham caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in meal programmes and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on licensing records. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
