Data Analyst - operations reporting (Providence, RI)

Redstone Ember Community Partners is a nonprofit in Providence supporting families with food, housing and job help, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our operations reporting. Flexibility and kindness are expected. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in client intake and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on food distribution. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Providence, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
