Data Analyst - operations reporting (Providence, RI)

Harborlight Umber Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Providence. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 12 people based in Providence. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in proof of delivery and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on claims. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
