Data Analyst - operations reporting (Oakland, CA)

We are growing our team at Summit Vale Learning Group and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be operations reporting. We follow the school calendar and we like people who like learning. What you will do • Investigate trends in family communication and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on learning materials. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
