Data Analyst - operations reporting (Oakland, CA)

Rivermark Granite Financial Group is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on operations reporting for loan applications, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Investigate trends in loan applications and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on payment disputes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
