Data Analyst - operations reporting (Madison, WI)

Silverline Pine Manufacturing is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on operations reporting for work orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Investigate trends in work orders and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on tooling. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Madison, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
