Data Analyst - operations reporting (Madison, WI)

Summit Lantern Construction delivers building projects for owners across the Madison region. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in permits and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on project schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Madison. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
