Data Analyst - operations reporting (Madison, WI)

We are growing our team at Redstone Birch Environmental Services and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be operations reporting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Madison. What you will do • Investigate trends in weigh tickets and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on recycling loads. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Madison. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
