Data Analyst - operations reporting (Knoxville, TN)

Bright Glen Inspection Services Group tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Knoxville, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our operations reporting. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in scheduling and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on test reports. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Knoxville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
