Data Analyst - operations reporting (Indianapolis, IN)

Amberfield Ashton Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Indianapolis. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. Independence and accuracy are our product. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in field inspections and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on client sites. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Indianapolis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
