Data Analyst - operations reporting (Houston, TX)

Amberfield Nest Community Partners is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on operations reporting for grant reporting, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 183 people based in Houston. What you will do • Investigate trends in grant reporting and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on client intake. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Houston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
