Data Analyst - operations reporting (Grand Rapids, MI)

Highbridge Fern Freight is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on operations reporting for carrier rates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 173 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in carrier rates and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on customer tracking. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
