Data Analyst - operations reporting (Grand Rapids, MI)

Redstone Sparrow Energy supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around Grand Rapids. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on operations reporting. Reliability is the job, and people here take pride in answering the phone at 3 a.m. when needed. What you will do • Investigate trends in meter readings and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on outage response. • Python or R for analysis.
